Nutrition

Hair needs a series of nutrients to stay healthy and maintain its balance. These nutrients provide the strength and energy the hair needs to look vital and prevent alterations that make it too greasy or dry. These nutrients will also help protecting the hair against dandruff and to make it strong enough to prevent early baldness. Many of the nutrients derive from animals, such as eggs, milk, fish, meet or animal entrails.

However, for those who prefer a vegetal origin diet, plants can provide all the necessary components as we will see further on. Do not brush your hair. You may contribute to hair loss. Use combs with separated teeth and keep your scalp clean.

How to get a nicer hair

You must wash your hair at least twice a week. Your shampoo must not contain detergents and the most appropriate one is neutral shampoo, which allows a daily use of the product.

After swimming in the ocean or the pool, wash your hair in order to get rid of any salt or chlorine because they make your hair really dry.

cabellos

You should use combs with wide, separate teeth and shouldn’t abuse the use of dyes, hairspray, hair gel or hairdryers that overheat the scalp.

Take two or three minutes a day to do inverted posture exercises to boost blood flow. With your hands on the wall, place your body in a vertical position with your head down and your feet up.

You should have a healthy diet, rich in vegetables and avoid animal products such as greasy meat, seafood, etc.

Avoid stress as much as possible. In order to do that you can practice some kind of relaxation activity. Sleeping well helps you keeping your hair in good conditions.

Did you know that…?

La cutícula puede perderse total o parcialmente en casos de enfermedades del cabello, tratamientos cosméticos, radiación ultravioleta y otros factores.

The cuticle can be totally or partially lost in case of hair illnesses, cosmetic treatments, ultraviolet radiation, among other things.

The characteristics of the hair depend on the way it emerges from the hair follicle on the scalp: If the follicle is vertically placed on the scalp, the hair will be straight. If it is oblique or curved, it will be curly.

There is no hair with white pigment. Gray hair is actually colorless but the reflection of light makes it look grey. A clear example is cellophane paper. It looks white when rolled up.

Hair has a limited existence of three years. After that, it falls and it is replaced by new hair. Just like animals, human beings have a slow, continuous “shedding”. We lose 50-100 hairs a day.

Cutting it or shaving it does not make it grow any faster, and it is also untrue that if you singe the tips you can prevent the loss of vital substances, since the hair outside the follicle is dead hair. Pulling your hair hurts a lot because the hair is rooted. On the contrary, cutting your hair does not hurt.

When hair loss is to advanced or it cannot be stopped, people usually wear wigs. Meshes are undetectable because they are made with a synthetic material that turns invisible when it comes in contact with the scalp. Modern wigs can be washed, you can wear them when you go to bed and even for several days in a row without needing to take them off. They look good from every angle, including the front.

You must avoid…

Habits that may speed up hair loss, such as:

  • Smoking, drinking alcohol or coffee
